Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has commended the Nigeria Under- 20 Female team, the Falconets, for their excellent performance in faraway Morocco last weekend.

The Governor, who spoke through the Commissioner for Youth and Special Duties, also supervising Sports in the state, Hon. Mika Amanokha, said the 1-1 draw secured by the Falconets will be a morale booster for the return leg in Benin on November 18, 2017.

Amanokha said the state has started preparation ahead of the crucial second leg encounter in Benin.

The commissioner said with the result secured in Morocco, the super falconets will have an easy ride at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.

He however assured the Nigeria Football Federation and Nigerians that Edo state government give the best and also improve on the earlier match between falconets and the Tanzanian.

“We will give them the best of hospitality that they will ever live to remember. What they witnessed before was a tip of the iceberg”.

Amanokha appealed to football lovers in the state to come out in their thousands to cheer the Nigeria team to victory come 18th of November, 2‎017 during the return leg.

It would be recalled that the falconets beat the Tanzanians 3-0 in Benin and later trashed them 6-0 in Dares’ salaam.
