PDP rejects results of Edo election: The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has rejected the result of the Edo state governorship election currently been announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Speaking at a press conference, the PDP state chairman, Dan Obih, said the results it’s agents collected from all the wards as at last night is totally different from what is been announced by the INEC.
Also speaking, the PDP candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu said President Buhari who was a product of free and fair election could not conduct a free and fair election.
He equally said ”contrary to claim that we brought 8000 militants, it’s clear that nothing like that happened. The delay in the announcement of the result by INEC has showed that the result was predetermined and written.
“What is been announced is contrary to the turn out of voters, even the national chairman of the APC acknowledge this fact. But I tell you, when the official result is announced, it will be clear that result does not match the turn out.
Ize-Iyamu said the election was marred with irregularities stressing that some security agencies collaborated with INEC officials to disenfranchise voters in some parts of the state.
Speaking categorically, he said APC could not have won Oredo LGA despite evidence of violence at George Idah Primary collation centre by APC thugs.
When asked what his next line action is, Ize-Iyamu said his team will examine all the result and publish in the newspaper what should have been the result.
